Professional Work History & Explanation of Job Transitions (Page 1)
Overview and Objectives
Past transitions reflect the pursuit of growth or better alignment—particularly when exploring roles
outside of traditional credit, such as sales-side positions or work with non-traditional lenders.
Through that process, I’ve identified that I’m most effective on the credit side of traditional
banking,
in settings that offer structure, visibility, and direct collaboration with leadership and peers.
While a hybrid or in-office role would be ideal, I remain open to remote opportunities that support
clear communication,
defined goals, and meaningful collaboration. I’m seeking a long-term role where I can contribute
meaningfully and continue building my career in Credit Risk Management.
Tower Bank and Trust
Credit Department Intern | Summer 2013
Summer internship completed while pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Finance at
Ball State University. Returned to school to finish my degree. Tower Bank was acquired shortly
thereafter, precluding further employment opportunities.
Lake City Bank
Bank Teller | August 2014 – May 2015
Credit Analyst | May 2015 – May 2017
Joined Lake City Bank to gain experience in commercial credit and lending.
Quickly promoted from Bank Teller to Credit Analyst, a role held for two years. Offered promotion to
Senior Credit Analyst but accepted a significantly higher-paying role at Salin Bank to move to
Indianapolis.
Salin Bank and Trust Company

Business Banking Relationship Manager | August 2018 – February 2019
Promoted to Relationship Manager after strong performance. Employment ended due
to acquisition by Horizon Bank.
Major Life Event
Faced significant personal health challenges. Decision-making during this period
was heavily influenced by the desire to maximize personal growth opportunities.
Veritex Community Bank
Commercial Underwriter | April 2019 – June 2019
Accepted role in Dallas, TX, seeking career growth. Resigned due to family
bereavement, growing homesickness, and associated mental health struggles.
Wintrust Bank
Business Banking Relationship Manager | October 2019 – December 2019
Found role in Chicago, IL due to limited opportunities in Fort Wayne, IN. Quickly
realized role and location mismatch, leading to agreement to part ways.
First Internet Bank of Indiana
SBA Underwriter/Analyst | February 2020 – September 2020
Via professional connection, accepted position in Indianapolis, IN due to limited
opportunities in Fort Wayne, IN. Pandemic-induced isolation and
continued desire to return permanently to Fort Wayne prompted departure after First Internet Bank
mandated return-to-office.

3 Rivers Federal Credit Union
Credit Analyst | September 2020 – March 2021
Senior Credit Analyst | March 2021 – December 2021
Accepted remote work opportunity and promoted quickly due to strong performance.
Departed following mandated return-to-office directive conflicting with personal health
requirements.
Ready Capital Lending
Analyst (SBA) | January 2022 – July 2022
Accepted the role as a step down in title and compensation to re-enter the SBA lending space and
maintain remote flexibility. Departed after promotion to Underwriter failed to materialize despite
strong performance, expanding responsibilities, and prior assurances that the role would be
transitional.
Alter Domus
Analyst, Sr. Associate | July 2022 – February 2023
Hired for a specific large-scale project that ultimately did not materialize,
leading to layoff.
Aion Financial Technologies
Senior Underwriter | April 2023 – November 2023
Accepted position out of immediate financial necessity. Laid off due to
significant
reduction in lending pipeline volume and a resulting mismatch between my experience and their
micro-loan operational needs.
OpnLend Inc.
Founder | November 2023 – Present
Started personal project to develop and leverage expertise independently in
lending technology and processes.
EverythingALS
Research Coordinator (Independent Contractor) | March 2024 – May 2024
Interim contract role taken due to difficult job market conditions, leveraging
personal volunteer involvement in ALS community.
The Hicksville Bank
Commercial Lender | May 2024 – August 2024
Accepted role under specific expectations which changed shortly after hiring.
Employment ended due to bank realignment with previously preferred candidate.
Community State Bank of Avilla
Senior Credit Analyst | October 2024 – March 2025
This was a stable and fulfilling credit role. However, internal advancement was
limited exclusively to
Commercial Lending—a path I had pursued more than once earlier in my career but ultimately found was
not the right fit.
I’ve since reaffirmed my long-term commitment to credit and underwriting. I accepted this position
at a 25% pay cut
from my previous role, but unexpected medical expenses later made a higher salary necessary.
I left to accept a significantly higher-paying offer.
Locus Bank
Senior Solar Credit Analyst | March 2025 – June 2025
Accepted the role based on assurances of long-term stability and growth.
However, significant organizational instability quickly became apparent—as I reported to three
different direct supervisors within 90 days.
Coupled with the absence of defined performance goals and increasing uncertainty due to legislative
cuts to solar tax credits,
I raised concerns in good faith about role clarity and long-term direction. My employment was
terminated the following day.
